To Whom It May Concern
Some 10 years ago I first met Mr Neil Hunt when he was officiating as the Master of Ceremonies at a financial services conference in the City of London. I was impressed by the mastery of his work and grew enthusiastic when I found at several subsequent conferences where he or some of his colleagues worked, that his style and competences clearly were at the top of the line within his profession.
Both as speaker and as Chair of financial sector conferences I had the pleasure of working with Mr Hunt.
As then Secretary General of the Brussels based Federation of European Stock Exchanges I decided to hire Mr Hunt to lead the annual conferences FESE organised in Brussels, London and other financial capitals. At all such rather prestigious meetings Mr Hunt performed with bravura and a cool professional attitude. His way of working with his principal was invariably effective and pleasant.
If that were all, this note would not have been written.
At one of our conferences a rather panicky and possibly even dangerous situation developed. Without awaiting my instructions Mr Hunt immediately intervened and managed to calm and then steer a large group of people in such a way that some may not even have realised what was happening. That in my mind elevates Mr Hunt well above the pack, in the UK or on the European continent.
I warmly recommend Mr Neil Hunt as Master of Ceremonies at any occasion, and certainly where more than 50 people congregate.
